The Cause
Ultimately, we seek a world without breast cancer.
With your help, we raise money to fight breast cancer and support those women and their families who find they must navigate the illness, fear, and end of life brought about by breast cancer.
To date, we have raised more than $1.25M, with $500,000 originally committed as the lead gift to A Campaign for Healthcare Excellence supporting the new Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre.
We are pleased to have added another $500,000 to that commitment, brining our total support to $1M.
Our commitment has resulted in the naming of the Crystal Gala Breast Health Unit and ensuring delivery of two state-of-the-art digital mammography machines, one within the Crystal Gala Breast Health Unit (for breast screening) and one for more in-depth diagnostic testing in the medical imaging department.
Additionally, the money you continue to help us raise will support a brand-new patient navigation program designed to help alleviate the stress and anxiety of wait times by guiding patients through all their testing within a 21-day time frame.
